This place rocks. When I moved to the area I practically furnished my apartment with the great stuff to be had here. I got a great solid oak fireplace surround with carved detail for $80. The guy who owns it, Claude, is a soft-spoken man with whom you can definitely do a deal. The place is so much more affordable than the shi-shi joints on the north side of Ashby Avenue, where you are in Berkeley proper, with a capital P. Recently they had this amazing green-headed crow, or bird of some kind, painted on the wall outside, which I really love! A great place where I often like to ramble, full of true junk and occasional great pieces… a true flea market!
